32Red Plc has announced its acquisition of Go Wild Casino’s UK customer database from Go Wild Malta Ltd for an undisclosed price tag.
Go Wild’s UK players will be redirected to the 32Red platform no later than September 15, 2014.
Matt Booth, Commercial Director for 32Red Plc, said, "This acquisition fits well with our growth strategy for the UK market. The migration of players from Go Wild to 32Red is a low-risk and seamless transfer as both businesses utilise the Microgaming platform and games content.
"Players will continue to use the same login and passwords to access their accounts and we will be active in showcasing the 32Red experience to these newly acquired players."

The new legislation went into effect December 1, this year and people are already pulling out left and right. These player acquisitions are a little strange to me. If Go Wild Casino had been established in the UK, it may have some or maybe even most of these players registered with their casino already. Do they check this list before purchase or do they purchase the list to keep it out of the hands of other Microgaming casinos that may not have these players registered.

I'm pleased that Go Wild chose a better partner than betway to palm off their UK customers onto as a result of this new legislation coming in, but nevertheless, its so strange that so many brands do not consider the UK market one worth serving - I can only guess I have seriously overestimated it's potential value.
