My experience with Cash app has been they will ban and close any account that remotely touched online gaming type transactions. Combined with a complete lack of support, poor customer service, and relatively high fees, Id use other options. They also have a horrible spread on crypto buys. Just not a source I can endorse in any way.

I did a little research and I suspect that it could possibly have been because I was using it to deposit on to various casinos both via bitcoin and using match pay. Apparently cash app has a very strong opinion about any kind of gambling both online and in person which is why you also can't use your cash app card at any in person casinos. It was very convenient to use cash app for my gambling purposes while I was able to but it should be done with caution because if they find out you are gambling they might shut your account down so don't ever send someone money and say it's for gambling or anything like that.

It also has the person to person transfer ability and allows user to connect either a bank account or debit card or use paper money to find your cash app balance. It makes depositing online super easy but cash app does not tolerate gambling transactions so if they notice those kinds of transactions they will close your account it's hella lame.

I love that it is so quick when you use lightning for both withdrawal and deposit.

Dont get me wrong. I liked using CashApp and to this day i think they provide a great, convenient service for millions if not billions of people around the world. My biggest complaint about CashApp is the inability to speak with an actual living person via voice call, email, or online help chat. My account was banned without any kind of warning or prior notifications. i just got a text one day that informed me that i had 30 days to withdraw all of my funds or they would be forfeited. my cashapp card was already disabled except for if i wanted to withdraw at atm or transfer funds to bank. useless in store or for online purchasing. i asked them in every possible way what it was SPECIFICALLY that i did to violate their terms of service, and years later i am still not sure what exactly i did. they always provide the same automated response simply stating that i violated the terms of service. That is a very vague explanation that covers a broad spectrum of endless possibilities. the terms of service agreement is at least 10 pages long and could have been altered or added to without my knowledge when i was using their service. i finally was told by another human being (not anyone from cashapp. they are all robots i think) that i can create a new account today and apply for new card, but i must provide a different phone number. Email can stay the same or be changed, but changing the mobile # that i have had for over a decade is non-negotiable. Screw you CashApp. I would rather crawl back to paypal at least they employ actual people and are somewhat reasonable about the way they run their business.

Even with bitcoin, if cashapp knows the wallet you’re sending to has something to do with gambling, you will most likely lose your funds with no recourse.

That is, until one day i went to log into my cashapp account and i was told i needed to log-in again, which was new. when i tried to, i was met with the message that "my activity violated terms and my account was closed" with no explanation at all. Luckily they made it easy to cashout my balance but they are very shady with account closings

Until Cashapp has made it almost impossible to withdraw BTC from online casino sites into my BTC wallet. I guess I do actually use Cashapp for funding most of my online accounts because I am able to send practically any amount of BTC to my casino account without having any minimum transaction amount such as PayPal having a minimum amount of $60-$70 BTC. Also, Cashapp seems to have a pretty fair fee amount associated with purchasing and sending BTC while not having any issues with the speed of the BTC delivery into my account, I don’t really use Cashapp to fund my DraftKings or FanDuel accounts because they don’t allow for withdrawals from those types of casinos into my Cashapp account.
