Overview

CryptoThrills Casino has been the subject of multiple customer complaints in 2020 and that attracted our investigative attention that wanted to get to the core of the matter and identify the issues with this particular online casino.

The first sign of bad times to come was the fact that the casino did not have a valid license, which is the first step in building a relationship of trust with affiliate partners and, of course, players.

We always advise our members to first check whether an online casino has a full-fledged online license by one of the leading jurisdictions and licensees. If it does not, that’s the first symptom of a possible rogue online casino.

CryptoThrills Casino was found to be in violation of numerous practices of fairness transparency and integrity: from ambiguous Terms and Conditions, to false advertising, this casino has caused strife to players wishing to cashout their winnings and those playing in Bitcoin who faced issues regarding the lowest possible bets that were too high.

CryptoThrills Casino Test

As a part of our From the Players, For the Players project, we have given CryptoThrills casino a run for its money and tested how they fare in basic casino experience aspects such as registration, deposit, gameplay and cashout.

Tester Juggaloroscoe signed in on February 25, 2021, and deposited 4mbtc on the same day.

He lost the first deposit due to a combination of very high straight deposit wagering requirements and high minimum bet, which made it immensely difficult, if not impossible, to meet the playthrough and come up with enough funds to cashout. He deposited again on 3 March, but by 12 March lost these funds as well and called it quits.

Our tester spent his entire balance of 4 mbtc trying to meet very difficult - one would say, predatory - wagering requirements. According to the casino’s T&Cs, all deposits must be wagered at least 10x before any withdrawal will be allowed. The minimum allowed coin size on most slot games is .01mbtc, making the minimum bet per line on a 15-line game - .15 mbtc- much too high for anyone to meet the playthrough requirements. There is no option to lower the minimum bet or change the currency from BTC to USD.

When he wagered the deposit of 4mbtc one time and was left with 1.12mbtc, or about 50 dollars, he attempted to cashout 1mbtc (the terms and conditions say the minimum withdrawal is 1mbtc), but was unable to do so since the cashier page info says the minimum withdrawal is 2mbtc.

He then filed a complaint with the live support, but the long drawn out back and forth between him and the agents never resolved the issue.

The tester then decided to request a withdrawal of 2mbtc on 3 March. The withdrawal was reversed without notice or update on 12 March. The player tried once again to meet the playthrough on the second deposit, but he was unsuccessful and had to come to terms with the loss.

Integrity/Trustworthiness

In February and March 2021, our tester’s odyssey at CryptoThrills saw him deposit a certain amount of mBTC and try to cashout.

However, the tester ran into a major snag when he found out that the lowest minimum bet was the cause of his rapid losing of money and that there was no option to shift to USD from mBTC.

The inconvenient lowest possible bet on slot games made it impossible to play through the deposit in order to meet the wagering requirements.

Plenty of conflicting and contradictory information in T&Cs didn’t help our tester who wanted to see this absurd situation clarified.

The live chat support agent was of no help as there was a lot of needless back and forth that resulted in nothing.

Our test confirmed casino players’ claims and assumptions about CryptoThrills being a place of unethical business principles and difficult wagering requirements.

Needless to say, the integrity and trustworthiness of any online casino would be completely shattered with the lack of these basic principles.

Player Complaints

CryptoThrill’s list of offenses is a long one. There are several threads on our Forum that deal with them, starting with the false advertising claims regarding the total prize pool for a tournament which turned out to be untrue.

After our intervention to help the player who won a much smaller sum than expected, the casino went on to offer him a new prize, but in bonus money instead of real cash, and with a very difficult playthrough.

There was another example of voided winnings in which the casino imposed imposible wagering requirements and plenty of shady policies regarding mBTC deposits and withdrawals.

One other Forum member claimed that the casino refused to cash him out, having stalled for days.

Finally, a fourth instance of payment refusal our Forum members had with CryptoThrills also concerned a refusal to pay out the winnings that were due. It even said that casino keeps adding wagering requirements even after players went through them all.

Virtually all of these player complaints had several things in common:

  • Slow payment ot, more often than not, no payment at all
  • Unresponsive and uncompetent live support
  • Wagering requirements that are too difficult to meet

With us as middle men, members’ cries and appeals have been heard - albeit after a lengthy wait even after we’ve contacted the casino in all instances. In every single case, the casino did not resolve our members’ issues and persisted that the ball was in their park.

This, we found, was a clear indication that CryptoThrills has no intention of replacing difficult or predatory terms and conditions with fairer ones or that their support agents look to find the solution for struggling players.

Conclusion

CryptoThrills online casino has a long list of offenses which were documented on our Forum’s Complaints section.

The bulk of these complaints have to do with unrealistic wagering requirements, lowest possible bets on slots, unresponsive and quite unhelpful support agents and general hesitance of the casino to let players get their money.

For these reasons and the fact that they have repeated on multiple occasions, we are left with no choice but to place CryptoThrills Casino on our warning list in order to protect our players and players everywhere from their poor business practices.

It is our advice to avoid CryptoThrills Casino until they show signs of betterment and that they have rectified the existing issues. There are plenty of bona-fide, honest casinos which provide excellent player service that you can choose from in our online casino directory.
