Situated on the shores of Okanagan Lake, the property encompasses a hotel, multiple dining options, a large conference center, and a whole range of on-site amenities. Following comprehensive renovations, in 2017, the resort unveiled “West Wing” expansion with 70 additional luxurious rooms and suites.

Gaming

Penticton Lakeside Resort no longer hosts a casino inside the complex. There aren’t any gaming devices, slot machines, or table games in the complex. In October 2015, the resort announced plans to end its long-standing lease with Lake City Casinos. As noted, the company had no intentions of renewing the contract beyond May 15, 2017.

Hotel Accommodations

All rooms and suites have amazing mountain or lakeside views, so guests can be sure that they will enjoy themselves maximally, regardless of which room they pick. The available accommodation options include King and Queen rooms as well as a penthouse and jet-tub suite.

In addition to these, guests can also stay at West Wing. Built from wood sourced from sustainably-managed forests of British Columbia, instead of steel and concrete, this facility reflects the owner’s efforts to minimize the carbon footprint.

What’s even more, the complex encompasses Penticton Pet Resort, so guests can reserve weekend daycare accommodations for their winged or four-legged fury friends. Keep in mind that there’s a daily pet fee of EUR 15.

Dining

While the staff was brainstorming how to name a restaurant, The Hooded Merganser, a rare North American duck flew onto the patio, just in time to help them make up their minds. Combining a casual atmosphere and luxurious décor, this restaurant offers a variety of starters, salads, pizzas, handhelds, and much more.

In case you want to enjoy breath-taking views of Okanagan Lake and the valley, throughout the four seasons, we suggest a visit to the Bufflehead Café. Eggs Benny, omelets, and classic are on offer. This venue is available for private events as well.

Describing itself as a most popular Penticton bar, the Barking Parrot is just inches away from the Okanagan Lake. Guests can enjoy delicious food and refreshing cocktails alongside excellent service.

Entertainment/Nightlife

The resort doesn’t include any nightclubs, so those interested in exploring the nightlife of BC will have to look elsewhere.

On the other hand, there’s a spacious on-site conference center, perfect for both small and large gatherings. Spreading across 32,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, the center comprises two ballrooms, seven breakout rooms, and a private outdoor courtyard, ideal even for wedding ceremonies.
