Fraser Downs

Fraser Downs is situated in the heart of the Fraser Valley and historic Cloverdale and 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 15 minutes from the US/Canadian border. Around the corner from the Surrey Gold Club, and a short drive from Campbell Valley Regional Park and the town of White Rock on Boundary Bay, come here in the summer for their beach festivals and boating trips along the bay. Most, of course, come for the races.

Gaming

Fraser downs has over 400 of your favourite slot machines, both video and classic, with such examples as the BC Gold progressive and Race to Win. Classic table games include the likes of blackjack, mini baccarat and roulette. Look for free table lessons if you’re new to the experience. Horse racing fans should look to the Racebook and the simulcast area; use self-serve or personal wagering windows. Horse racing runs all year on Fridays and Sundays with occasional Sundays. Ask you host for specific dates.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are currently no hotels on site although Fraser Downs has teamed up with the Holiday Inn and Suites to offer their stay-and-play package. The Holiday Inn and Suites surrey East offers state of the art accommodations where service and comfort are ther top priority. They provide free internet, a business centre, and 2,400 sq ft of conference/meeting space. Rooms include guest rooms and executive club level with cable/satellite tv, direct dial phones and free long distance calling. There is also an indoor pool and work-out room.

Dining

Racing fans should look to The Bridge, with its exclusive menu and overlooking the casino and racetrack. Racebook was created with the Fraser Downs simulcast customer in mind. Located directly below the Clubhouse, Racebook looks onto the track and provided a large wall covered in tvs showcasing worldwide race coverage. Food service is cafeteria-style. The Clubhouse is geared toward the ultimate racing experience, with floor to ceiling windows and four levels of terraced dining with each table having individual monitors. Buffet selections include seafood, salads, 2 carving station and desserts.

Entertainment/Nightlife

The Clubhouse and the Robert M Murphy Room host several various events. Speak to a representative about upcoming events of interest. The Clubhouse features two 17 ft. screens with HD projectors ideal for sporting events and hosting seminars and parties. The Robert M Murphy Room can accommodate up to 35 people and is perfect for smaller groups and parties. Weekenders can travel into nearby Vancouver for shopping or visit local parks.

Fraser Downs uses the BcGold Encore Card. Look for hot seat draws and use your card for discounts at select food and beverage venues. Speak to your host or hostess about birthday benefits and upcoming contests or promotions.
