Enjoy Coquimbo

CoQuimbo is a port city in the Elqui province and while primarily a shipping and industrial centre, it does offer recreation to visiting tourists, most notably in the water activities they have available like fishing and boating, sunning and swimming. Look forward to casual afternoons strolling the water-front watching the fishing boats, hanging out in the markets haggling for souvenirs and visiting local attractions. The casino isn’t as big as some of its sister casinos but the area is quaint, so when passing through, pop in for a bit of light gaming.

There are several casinos using the Enjoy brand but this one doesn’t have as much to offer as some of the others. There are a total of 100 slot machines and video poker terminals and an additional 7 table games which consist of blackjack, baccarat Caribbean stud poker and roulette. The hotel has 111 rooms coming equipped with 26” plasma screen tvs, wireless internet connections and views of the sea. Amenities on site include a spa, restaurants, heated pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. Included with your stay, is a breakfast at the La Barquera. Be sure to ask staff about where to go and what to see while in the city or directions to the local beach.

Dining

For Italian-Mediterranean fusion, look to La Barquera, with menu items like stone baked pizza and pastas. If you’re interested in Asian cuisine there’s Hanami, with menu items like sushi, hosomaki, futomaki, sashimi and nigiri. When you want a bit more value for your dollar, buffets can be found at Bingo & Buffet Mondays through Thursdays, and grilled meat entrees Friday to Sunday.

Attractions/NightLife

The casino has various live entertainment acts so be sure to ask staff what’s on the agenda. When you just want to sit back and relax and enjoy your favourite cocktails, head to Sir Barlow. Spend some time sunning and swimming on the beaches, taking leisurely strolls along the water front, or checking out various restaurants in the area serving up authentic Chilean cuisine. La Serena Beach is near the hotel as is the local attraction La Serena Lighthouse. Another lighthouse in the area is the Punta de Tortuga Lighthouse. Other areas of interest are the Guayacan Church and Plaza de Armas. Hit the markets to find some cool souvenirs to bring back home. When it’s time to finally relax, sit poolside back at the hotel, sipping all your favourite cocktails and unwinding.
