Nasr City is the largest district in Cairo and home to the Al-Azhar Univeristy, Cairo International Stadium and the Cairo International Conference Centre. An attraction specific to this region is the Unknown Soldier Memorial, erected to honour those fallen during the 1973 October War. Other nearby major attractions include The Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx and the Giza Zoo. Nasr has several shopping malls for those interested in souvenir hunting.
