Andernos Casino

Located on the shore of the Bay of Arcachon, lies the resort town of Andernos-les-Bains, a commune in the Gironde department in south-west France. Up to twice a month the restaurant has dinner concerts so be sure to ask what’s in store. Try restaurants in town, where you can sample everything French cuisine has to offer, from fine dining to casual settings. Ask hotel or casino staff to point out popular establishments. Don’t forget to try the oysters, long famous to the region.

Attractions/NightLife

Come sundown, hit one of the local bars or night clubs, such as Le Miami or Le New Pub. Back at the casino keep your eyes peeled for various concerts, with music styles including jazz and traditional French. During days, head to the beaches and all the activities that accompany it, like sunning, swimming or sailing. Be sure to check out the Great Dune of Pyla, longest of its kind in Europe. To catch some indigenous wildlife, or just for somewhere fun to take the family, try the local zoo, Zoologique de Bordeaux Pessac, just over 30 km outside of town. To grab supplies or souvenirs, try one of the local markets, running Tuesdays and Fridays.
