Casino Biscarrosse

Biscarrosse is a town in the department of Landes and the region of Aquitaine in south-western France. It is the most populous of the Pays de Born. Locals are called Biscarrossaises or Biscarrossais. Between Lake Cazaux and Lake Parentis, the area can be split into 3 primary sections – Biscarrosse Ville, Biscarrosse-Plage and Biscarrosse Lac. Chances are you’ll want to head around Biscarrosse-Plage, which is the seaside resort area, located on the Atlantic. Due to its beautification efforts, they were awarded 4 flowers in the contest Cities and Villages in Bloom, in 2012. Visit assorted museums, enjoy the beaches, participate in water and land activities and check out the local churches. Other venues include Le Biscantou, with its French cuisine, Chez Ma Doudou, a delicatessen, L’Archipel with its barbecue dishes and La Cabane a Mules.

Attractions/NightLife

Head to the casino bar for all your favourite cocktails, open daily from 10 am to 3 am and until 4 am Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves. Or daily 10 am to 4 am all summer. Other nearby bars include Avenue, Houlacabis, The Sun, and Oceana. Athletics are big in the area, with its football, rugby, handball, sailing and surfing. Looking for casual outdoor activities? There’s hiking, horseback riding and golfing. For bungee-jumping, head to Bisc’Aventure. For water activities, try AquaPark. Museums in the area include The Museum of Traditions and History of Biscarrosse or the Historic Seaplane Museum. Religious sites include the Church of St Bernadette of Biscarrosse-Plage and the Church of St Martin, dating back to the 14th century. Other attractions include the Castle Montbron, going back to the 16th century.
