Casino de Houlgate

Houlgate is a French commune in the department of Calvados, in the canton of Dozule, situated in the Cote, located in the Pays d’Auge and in the region of Lower Normandy. There’s several festivals and cultural events running throughout the year. If you’re in the area during April, look for the Houlgate Plein Vent, with its synchronized kite flying and kite-surfing. Find all your favourite cocktails in the casino bar The Private, open Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm and daily during the summer. Watch for live musical entertainment. Other venues include Le Royalty. If you’re interested in rubbing shoulders with the locals, find your own new favourite watering-hole in town. Outdoor sports enthusiasts might wish to take in 18 holes of golf. Head to the beach for sunning and swimming or join in a game of volleyball. Swing by the marina or fishing port to watch the boats come in or check out the daily catch.
