Casino la Bourboule

La Bourboule is a French commune in the Monts Dors, the department of Puy-de-Dome and the d’Auvergne region. Locals are called Bourbouliens and Bourbouliennes. This glacial valley city draws tourist primarily for the spas in the area, along with those having children seeking remedies for respiratory illnesses. Local baths include the Great Baths and Baths Choussy. Fenestre Park, with its 12 hectares, is a children’s park, adorned with wooded areas, ponds and paths. Inside you can find a bandstand, dating back to the early 19th century, the Bridge Vendix with its murals, the Pastry Rozier, with its art-nouveau façade, built in 1920, and a café-bar. Find all your favourite cocktails in the casino bar Café de la Plage, open daily. Look for live concerts on Saturday evenings, karaoke on alternating Fridays, tea-dances June through September, and special holiday-themed events. During summers, drinks can be enjoyed on their outdoor terrace overlooking the Dordogne. Other bars in the area include Le Galalagos and Le Cryano. For a theatre-bar combo, try Cinema Bar Le Roxy. Stroll through 12 hectares of green space (woods, groves, parks , ponds and paths) in Fenestre Park. Found in the park are the Pastry Rozier, the Vendix Bridge, a café and a late 19th century bandstand. Spas in the area include the Baths Choussy and the Great Baths. For religious sites, there’s the St Joseph Church of the Bournemouth, built between 1885 and 1888 by the architect Gardin and inspired by the Basilica of Octival.
