Le Boulou is a French commune located in the department of Pyrenees-Orientales. This ‘spa’-town garnered some fame for its Eau du Boulou, waters claimed to have curative properties. Two prominent areas of interest for tourists are the churches and the outdoor activities, which include hiking and fishing. If you have the kids along, try Aqualand Water Park. Other attractions include the Quadrangular Tower, one of the last remnants of the town’s fortifications. Religious sites include the Church of St Mary, with its Roman origins, the Church of St Margaret of Molas, and the ruins of the Church of Saint-Etienne Nidoleres.
