Casino Tremblade

Ronce-les-Bains is located in the city of La Tremblade in the department of Charente-Maritime and Poitou-Charentes in south-west France. This resort area has beaches ideal for several water activities, 8,000 hectare of forest for hiking, and of course the casino. If you happen to be traveling with family, try about one and a half miles outside of Ronce where you can find La Cite De L’huitre and the amusement park. Depending on the season, keep your eyes peeled for concerts and cultural events.

Gaming

The casino offers 58 classic and video slot machines, ranging from one cent to one euro. Look for the Megapot machines, connected to 44 different casinos across France. Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site. Stay at the Grand Hotel, located right on the ocean, facing Oleron Island. There are actually three buildings containing 70 rooms, coming in singles, doubles, triples and family rooms, each equipped with television, and some with balcony. You can find a restaurant on site with its French cuisine and terrace dining. There’s an indoor heated swimming pool and access to various activities like tennis, beach volleyball, cycling (rental), mini-golfing, wind-surfing and hiking. You can also opt to spend time on the nearby beaches sunning and swimming. Also nearby is Club Mickey, geared toward younger children.

Dining

Look for lunches in The Slate Restaurant, noon to 2 pm, and dinner from 7 pm to 11 pm. During the off-season, dinners only are available, and run from 7 pm to 10:30 pm Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. During weekends and holidays, hours are noon to 2 pm (lunches) and 7 pm to 10:30 pm (dinners). Please note, the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you choose to dine in one of the restaurants in town, try one of the regional specialties, like fried eel, rabbit, and frogs’ legs. When looking for places to dine, hotel or casino staff can likely point you in the direction of popular venues.

Attractions/NightLife

Enjoy teas, coffees and cocktails in the Lounge Bar, opening at 2 pm. Bars nearby include The World’s End, The Golfy, and Cuba Noche. During days, hit the beaches throughout town or near the resort for any number of water activities, like swimming, wind-surfing or sailing. Try some of the land-based activities in the resort like volleyball or tennis. Other activities nearby include mini-golfing and hiking. Head over to the island of Oleron where you can unwind. Bring the kids to the La Palmyre zoo. Look for La Cite De L’huitre and a selection of amusement park rides. For architecture, there’s the Bridge Seudre, built in 1972.
