Casino de Paradise at the Safari Park Hotel & Country Club

From the Maasai term ‘Enkare Nyrobi’ meaning ‘cold water’, comes both the city and the river Nairobi. Nairobi is the largest, most populous and capital city of Kenya and it is here you can find Casino de Paradise at the Safari Park Hotel & Country Club. Aside from the casino, there are a few things for the visiting tourist to do to occupy their afternoons such as the museums and parks - one of the most famous attractions being the Nairobi National Park. The casino has a decent selection of slots and game tables and is located within the Safari Park Hotel. You can find 300 of your favourite slot machines, including classic, video and progressives as well as video poker. There are an additional 24 table games which consist of 6 blackjack tables, 2 mini baccarat, 4 pontoon, 1 baccarat,1 chemin de fer and 10 roulette tables. After long days in the parks, spend some nice time relaxing inside, out of the blazing sun, and take your shot at funding your next safari. The casino has an entrance fee which is converted into chips, but hotel guests are admitted free.

The hotel has 204 rooms of which 160 are deluxe rooms and 36 being suites, with an additional 4 exclusive apartments. Rooms are equipped with satellite tv and wireless internet access. Amenities include a swimming pool, squash and tennis courts, and a health club. There is also a complimentary shuttle between the hotel and the City Centre twice daily.

Dining

For the hungry carnivores, there’s The Nyama Choma Ranch. Menu items include barbecued skewers in steak, chicken and mutton (but they do provide a vegetarian option). Live stage shows are also performed here. Café Kigwa offers dishes ranging from pasta to burgers as well as breakfast and lunch buffets. If you’re looking for Italian cuisine head to La Piazzetta with its pastas, pizzas and wine. For Japanese and Korean fare, there’s The Chiyo.

Attractions/NightLife

Watch the Safari Cats, professional dancers and acrobats, perform nightly at 9 pm at The Nyama Choma Ranch. Enjoy your drinks in the tented area or on the open terrace at Hemingway’s Lounge and Bar. Live piano music plays at 6 and 8 pm. The Piano Bar has live music and karaoke or if you just wish to unwind outdoors try Palm Garden. For your afternoons, stroll through parks like Uhuru Gardens or visit the Nairobi National Park with its giraffes, lions, black rhinos and 400 species of birds. Be sure to go on the Nairobi Safari Walk while there. For museums, there’s the Karen Blixen Museum, the Nairobi Gallery, the Nairobi Railway Museum and the Nairobi National Museum.
