Florida Casino

One of the most beautiful and popular destinations in Africa, is Kenya. It’s capital and largest city is Nairobi, which comes from the Maasai ‘Enkare Nyrobi’, meaning ‘cold water’. Plan your next African safari here, then head on over to the casino for a little bit of gaming before going back out into the city again. There’s several parks, gardens and museums to keep you busy during your afternoons out. Be sure to head over to the Nairobi National Park, with its local wildlife or do something a bit out of context - spend the afternoon ice skating!

The casino is a bit light with its offerings – just 55 slot and video poker machines and a total of 10 table games which include blackjack, pontoon, poker and roulette. There are no hotels on site but just across the street from the casino you can find the Arkland Palace Hotel. Rooms here come in double, twin, triple, Jr., and VIP suites. The Attitude Restaurant and Sports Bar is convenient for lunches and for taking in a game. For authentic African cuisine, find your own quaint restaurant in town or ask the hotel and casino staff for recommendations on popular local eateries.

Attractions/NightLife

If you’re interested in letting loose, head on over to Florida Nightclub and boogie the night away on the dance floor. At midnight each night you can check out their cabaret show. Filling your afternoons shouldn’t be a problem. For museums, there’s a fair few in the area. These include the Karen Blixen Museum, the Nairobi National Museum, and the Nairobi Railway Museum. A prime attraction in Nairobi is the Nairobi National Park with such animals as lions, giraffes, black rhinos and 400 species of birds. Trek the park on foot by using the Nairobi Safari Walk. For something a bit more novel, visit the Solar Ice Rink. At 15,000 sq ft. it’s the largest in Africa. When everyone back home ask about the safaris, surprise them telling them you spent your days ice skating. The largest memorial park in Kenya can also be found here – Uhuru Gardens, where the first Kenyan flag was raised in independence.
