The capital and largest city in Kenya is Nairobi and it is here you can find the Jokers Wild Casino. Nairobi itself comes from the Maasai ‘Nyrobi’ meaning ‘cold water’, which also lend its name to the river. Another moniker is ‘green city of the sun’ due to the lush landscape. A prominent geographical feature of the region is the Ngong Hills as well as Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro seen in the distance. There are several things to do in the area, especially if you’re keen on checking out the wildlife, such as the Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre and booking safaris.

Gaming

After a busy day touring the city or visiting the museums, pop into the casino for a bit of light gambling. There are slot machines and video poker terminals as well as table games like blackjack, pontoon and roulette. The casino also runs bingo sessions with their Progressive Giant Jackpot. The casino runs daily with accessibility to slots beginning at 7 am and table games at 7 pm. One good yell of ‘bingo’, ‘jackpot’ or a few ‘21’s’ and you might just afford that Kenyan safari you wanted to take.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site but across from the casino you can find the Sarova Stanley Hotel. There are 217 guest rooms across 8 floors coming in Heritage Suite, Executive Suite and Club Room. All rooms have an atrium or outdoor view, air conditioning and internet access. For some posh pampering opt for the Club Room with complimentary fruit basket on arrival. Amenities can be located on the 5th floor and include a gym, steam room, sauna, a heated pool and massage services. The hotel has dining facilities on site and a business centre. Their mini-mall includes a boutique, bookshop and gift shop among several other stores.

Dining

For Thai cuisine there’s Thai Chi, located in the hotel, or the Pool Deck Restaurant for Kenyan and other Asian fare. The restaurant is buffet-style and has barbecue lunches on Sundays. For lighter fare, there’s Thorn Tree Café with its deli counter, wood-oven pizza and other quick eats. The hotel has 24 hr room service and a special in-room dining menu. To try additional African dishes, ask staffs at the hotel and casino for recommendations on popular local eateries.

Attractions/NightLife

The Exchange Bar, site of Nairobi’s first stock exchange, serves beers, cocktails and fine cigars while patrons enjoy international newspapers. For laid back lounge-style bars in the area, try Moonflower, Crave and Caribbana. For nightclubs, there’s The Hood, Red Sea and Teremsha. For afternoons, visit the museums like the Karen Blixen, the Nairobi Gallery, the Nairobi Railway Museum or the Nairobi National Museum. For parks and monuments there’s Uhuru Gardens and Nairobi National Park with its Safari Walk where you can see 400 species of birds, lions and black rhinos. Another area of interest may be the Giraffe Centre. If you’re interested in something a bit different, try the Solar Ice Rink. At 15.000 sq ft. it’s the largest of its kind in Africa.

Rewards/Deals

There are currently no player rewards systems in place. Speak to casino staff about potential contests or promotions, bingo session times and any additional benefits for high rollers and frequent players.
