Trou Aux Biches Casino

In the district of Pamplemousses on the northern coast of Mauritius is Trou Aux Biches. The casino is a bit light in their slots selection with just 70 slot machines and video poker terminals but they do have an additional 19 table games which consist of 10 roulette tables, 6 blackjack tables, and finally, rounded out with 3 Oasis poker tables. They are open 7 days a week with slots available from 10 am until 2 am and table games accessible from 9 pm until 3 am. Note that on Sundays and holidays the hours change to 3 pm to 4 am. The hotel has villas, beach front suites and senior beach front suites which have private pools. Other room types open onto larger public pools. Dine to a view overlooking the beach and lagoon at La Caravelle. Guests can enjoy live cooking prepared at buffet cooking stations. At L’Oasis, buffets are enjoyed while looking out onto the pool or over the sea. Have your meals outdoors on the deck at Le Deck looking with views of the sea. For Thai cuisine, there’s Blue Ginger, where dinners are prepared in the open concept kitchen and for traditional Indian dishes there’s Mahiya. If Italian is what you’re looking for, head to Il Corallo where pasta dishes can be complemented with glasses of wine. Pop into town looking for local eateries dishing up authentic Mauritian cuisine or seafood entrees.

For the athletically inclined, all manner of sports can be found at the hotel. There’s 6 tennis courts as well as a sports centre. For additional activities ask the hotel about arranging glass bottom boat tours, initiation to scuba diving, or renting pedal boats and bikes. Head to the white sand beaches for sunning, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. Enjoy your favourite cocktail at L’Oasis or head to one of several bars in town where you can hang with the locals. Tour into Port Louis to visit the museums and gardens and for additional dining options as well as bars and night clubs.
