Acapulco (officially Acapulco de Juarez) off the Pacific coast, lies about 300 km from the capital Mexico City. You’re probably familiar with the city – it’s a premier holiday destination. If you’re big on beaches and beach activities, it’s definitely the city for you. But there’s also plenty to do on the land as well with the restaurants, bars, clubs and attractions. If you're young, or young at heart, look to March during Spring Break - otherwise expect slews of under 20's. And of course, don’t forget the casino! There's slots, bingo and sportsbook after you've run yourself ragged touring the beaches and hot spots.

gaming

The Emotion casinos boast over 12,000 slots so you’re sure to find what you’re looking for here, with classic, video, progressive and jackpot slots in varying denominations (beginning at 5 cents). If you enjoy bingo there’s a bingo room on site. If you’re looking for sports book that’s available too where you can bet on horses, dogs and major international sporting events. With a little bit of everything, you shouldn’t have any problem keeping yourself entertained.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site but about 1 km from the casino you can find the Hotel Club del Sol. They have 220 rooms across 3 storeys and the hotel is conveniently located near shopping and attractions and one block from the beach. On site there are 2 pools (plus two smaller ‘relaxation’ pools), a rooftop terrace and a lobby bar. Tennis and golf can both be found nearby, and guests can take advantage of room service and free internet in the lobby. Look for live entertainment in the bar. Ask staff what's on their event calendar.

Dining

For French, Mediterranean and Asian fusion, try Baikal. Enjoy jazz musical accompaniment as you dine. Reservations required. For menu items like steaks, tortillas and grilled cactus try El Fogon. German fare like sausages and sauerkraut is dished up over in Die Bratwurst. For Mexican cuisine, there’s El Cabrito. There’s plenty of restaurants across the city. Simply find the ones best suited to your budget and tastes. Ask hotel and casino staff for recommendations on popular places.

Attractions/NightLife

There’s the lobby bar back at the hotel (for drinks and live entertainment) as well as a plethora of bars and clubs in the city. For sheer size, try El Alebrije, which can host up to 5000 people. For cliff-top views, there’s Palladium. For upscale, try Baby O’s. If you aren’t part of the Spring Break twenty-something crowd, try Barbarroja. To bar-hop, try along La Costera. During days, if you’re looking for a starting point, try Zocalo, the main square with its restaurants, a local cathedral and two fountains. Centro Internacional de Convivencia Infantial (CICI) is an aquatic park with water slides and wave pools as well as dolphin shows. For museums try the Casa de la Mascara (House of Masks). Golf fans might want to take in a round at the Pierre Marques or the Acapulco Princess. Of course, you can’t forget the beaches for swimming, sunning, sailing, snorkelling and scuba diving. If you’re feeling adventurous, try some cliff-diving. If busy beaches aren't your thing, you can always sip cocktails poolside back at the hotel.
