Cancun – chances are you’ve heard of it – holiday hotspot, spring break getaway, honeymoon resort. The city lies in south eastern Mexico in the state of Quintana Roo. There are no hotels on site, but as close as 0.2 km from the casino you can find the Hotel Ibis Cancun Centro. The 100% non-smoking hotel offers 190 rooms equipped with air conditioning, satellite tv and free internet access. Standard rooms have one double or two single beds and offer views of the residential area and/or lagoon. On site is a restaurant (the Rendez Vous), which offers daily breakfast buffets and a bar. The hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes from the local beaches and 10 minutes from the airport. Be sure to ask about their Beach Club.

Dining

Look for daily breakfast buffets in the hotel restaurant. For Mexican cuisine and seafood dishes, there’s La Habichuela. Ask to dine outdoors in the gardens. For more seafood as well as menu items like pasts and steaks, there’s Laguna Grill, also with terrace dining and a lounge bar. Enjoy breakfast buffets, a la carte lunches, and candle-lit dinners in The Cove Cancun. A restaurant, bar and night club all in one can be found with Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville.

Attractions/NightLife

There’s more than enough night life to keep even the craziest of partiers occupied. Go dancing in Basic Discotheque, Dady O, or O Ultra Lounge. Senor Frog’s has an international menu, a water slide for kicks, and a dance club environment come night. Participate in any number of activities during days. Hit the beaches for snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming and sailing. Hike through the jungles, explore caves, or try zip-lining. Visit Hidden Worlds Cenote Adventure Park with its underwater caves. Check out the Xcaret ecological park, with its flora, fauna, butterfly pavilion and archaeological site. The Interactive Aquarium lets you get close and personal with various marine life. To see over 150 species of sea birds, visit Isla Contoy. If you’d like to see pre-Columbian Mayan ruins, visit Las Ruinas del Rey, or head to the Chichen Itza. When you decide to take in some shopping, there’s the La Isla Shopping Mall.
