Casino Lomas Play Culiacan

Found in north western Mexico, Culiacan is the largest city in the state of Sinaloa, and has a population of around 675,000 (or 890,000 when including the surrounding metro area). You can find the city at the confluence where the rivers Tamazula and Humaya meet, about 55 metres above sea level. While there’s plenty to do in the city, there’s a couple noteworthy areas of interest just a short drive away. Thirty minutes out, you can find the Imala hot springs, where you can also find nearby dams and reservoirs. Also, around the same distance out, there’s Altata Beach. When you head back into the city, and have seen all the various attractions, pop over to the casino and try your luck.

Choose those places closest to the attractions you intend on visiting or best fit your budget and comfort levels. Dining

There’s ample opportunity to sample Mexican cuisine, but be sure to try some Sinaloan-style. For those traditional, regional dishes try La Mariposa Amarilla (the yellow butterfly), with its beef and fish dishes. Los Arcos has a menu primarily revolving around seafood, as does El Farallon, with menu items like octopus, scallops and squid. If you’re looking for Italian fare, there’s Italianni’s. When searching for Chinese, try Huy Fong, or China-loa, the latter with all-you-can-eat buffets.

Attractions/NightLife

When the sun sets and you want to head out for some dancing, there’s O Lydia Discotheque, also called the ‘pyramid of everlasting fun’, with its Egyptian-inspired décor and 1200-person capacity. There’s also Penthouse Klub, as well as Kuwa, which also has live music. During the day, head over to the Constitucion Civic Centre, where you can find dancing fountains, a library and the Culiacan Zoo. If you’re travelling with kids, spend the day at Splash Club, the largest water park in Sinaloa. Parks include the Ernesto Millan Escalante Park and Revolucion Park. For shopping try Plaza la Campina, Plaza Fiesta, Plaza Cinepolis, Plaza Galerias San Miguel and Forum Culiacan Mall, largest mall in Culiacan. Sports fans should check out Estadio Angel Flores and Estadio Banorte (formerly Estadio Carlos Gonzales). Check out the Botanic Garden and Centro de Ciencias de Sinaloa, a science museum hosting the 5th largest meteorite on Earth. Other attractions include the Regional History Museum (in Parque Constitucion), and the Templo de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. Don’t forget the Imala hot springs, about 30 minutes out.
