Ciudad Juarez, once Paso del Norte, is a city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, lying on the Rio Bravo del Norte/Rio Grande and south of El Paso, Texas. As recent as 2013, was the addition of the Monumento a la Mexicanidads, the tallest structure in the city, and large park. Another park in the city worth checking out is the Parque Central Hermanos Escobar. The oldest standing building in Juarez is the Mision de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, built in the 17th century and restored in the 1970s. Also check out Chavena Fountain, constructed back in 1895. These include the San Agustin Regional Museum, Museo del Concorde, the Paseo del Norte Cultural Center (home of the Festival Internacional Chihuahua), La Rodadora Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Juarez, the Chamizal Archaeological Museum and the Museo de la Revolucion en la Frontera. Sports fans might like visiting the Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium, watching a bullfight in Plaza de Toros, or checking out Xtremo Park. Other areas of interest include the Benito Juarez Monument, built in 1906, the Chavena Fountain, built in 1895, and the Mision de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe, built in the 17th century.
