Playcity Culiacan

Located in northwestern Mexico, Culiacan is the largest city in the state of Sinaloa and has a population of around just under 800,000 people (about 850,000 if you include the surrounding municipality). Hit the beaches while here for some sunning and swimming, like Altata Beach or Cortes Island, also good spots when looking for restaurants and bars/clubs –ie some night life. If you don’t mind the drive, it might also be worth heading just outside the city (about 30 minutes) where you can find the Imala Springs, where there's dams to check out, and good fishing. Inside the city, there’s also several attractions to visit. After those, there’s always of course, the casino.

All-you-can-eat buffets are found in China-loa, where you can find menu items such as sushi. In Huy Fong, you can find an assortment of a la carte Chinese dishes. In the casino, you can find such foods as soups, salads and pastas in their restaurant. As you’re walking around the city look for interesting venues dishing up authentic Mexican cuisine, or ask hotel and casino staff for suggestions on restaurants that are popular with both locals and tourists. Try around the beaches.

Attractions/NightLife

There are several bars and nightclubs within or just outside the city. For dancing, try O’Lydia Discoteque, or for something with a bit of pizzazz check out the water show in the Dancing Fountain. For upscale, there’s the Penthouse Klub. During days hit up the beaches for sunning and swimming or try one of the many local attractions. Over in the Parque Constitucion, you can find the Regional History Museum and the Botanical Garden and Centro de Ciencias de Sinaloa (combination garden and science center. For religious sites, there’s the Templo de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe and a 19th century cathedral. If you’re interested in the local parks, these include Las Riveras Park, Ernesto Millan Escalante Park and Splash Club, a water park. Other attractions include Constitucion Civic Center and Estadio Angel Flores (the baseball stadium).
