For Mexican cuisine, there’s La Cabana de Dona Chayo, serving classic fare like quesadillas and tacos, or Molienda. If seafood’s what you’re after, there’s El Farallon, serving ceviche and sushi, or El Lenador with its shrimp and steaks. For international cuisine, try Mr Owen’s or Espana Restaurante. For more options, ask hotel and casino staff for recommendations on venues nearby, hit up one of the road-side stalls, or purchase meats and produce in the markets.

Attractions/NightLife

When the sun sets and you’re out looking for night life, try one of the local bars or clubs. Medievo has both DJs and live music. For dancing, try Bibo Bar & Club or Tabu Ultra Club. To grab a beer and chat up locals, there’s Micheladas Bar. Places to visit in the city include the Museo Regional del Valle del Fuerte, Casa del Centenario, and Parroquia del Sangrado Corazon, a small, local church. To go for leisurely strolls while checking out indigenous flora, try Parque Sinaloa. When looking to pick up souvenirs, or fresh meats and produce to make a picnic lunch, head into Mercado Independencia.
