Saltillo, the largest and capital city of the Mexican state of Coahuila, has a population of roughly 725,000, or 825,000 if you include the surrounding metro area. Japanese meals are dished up in Nikkori while Chinese can be found in Hong Kong Restaurant. If you’d like to sample Brazilian cuisine, head to Galpo de Brasil. For Italian there’s Terrazo Romano. Alternately, you can walk around finding other venues or ask hotel and casino staff for suggestions. Don't forget your free breakfast buffet back at the hotel.

Like most large cities, there’s bars and clubs about. Some options include El Olmo Disco Bar, Joy Bar, and Boss. During days hit up the museums, like the Museo de las Aves, Museo del Desierto and the Vito Alessio Cultural Centre. To take in some of the indigenous flora, there’s the Parque Alameda Zaragoza. To soak up some architecture there’s the colonial-era Palacio de Gobierno. Religious sites nearby include the Cathedral of Saltillo, dating back to the 18th century. You can always hang back at the hotel, lying by the pool, and resting your feet after walking around the city.
