Casino St Nicholas

San Nicloas de los Garcias, or simply San Nicolas, is a city in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, and part of the larger Monterrey metro area. Grab a feel for the history and culture of the area by checking out the local museums like the Museo Regional de Nuevo Leon. Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains while checking the pieces inside. Other interesting museums include the Museo del Vidrio, Centro Cultural Alfa, and Museo del Noreste. Horno3 (or blast furnace 3) is a hands-on steel museum. If you prefer the outdoors, try the green areas Macroplaza and Gran Plaza.

Rooms have cable television and guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast buffets. Facilities include a swimming pool, sports bar and a restaurant. Restaurant hours are breakfasts, 7 am until 10:30 am, and dinners from 6 pm until 10:30 pm. Rooms service is also available. Internet access is available on site.

The hotel restaurant serves international and regional cuisine, with breakfasts 7-10:30 am and dinners 6-10:30 pm. Basic, yet classic fare, like tacos can be found in Tacos Popos. If you’re looking for something heartier like steak, try El Papalote. For Italian cuisine, international fare and seafood, you’ll want to head over to Sol y Mar. Tour around the city finding your own favourite venues, or ask hotel and casino staff to point you in the direction of those places most popular with locals and tourists.

Attractions/NightLife

If you enjoy art, local and foreign artists are showcased during the Bella Via Festival. Try the museums for more local culture and history. Places include the Horno3 (blast furnace 3), Museo del Noreste, the Centro Cultural Alfa, and the Museo del Vidrio. Check out local flora and some fauna like a variety of butterfly species in Chipinque Park. Stroll through green areas like those found in Gran Plaza and the Macroplaza. When the sun sets and you want to hit the town for some night life, try one of the local bars or clubs. Options include Club Leones Villa de Guadalupe, or you can stroll through some of the more popular streets discovering where the locals are lining up and take their cue. You might just want a standard watering hole, where you can rub shoulders with and chat up the locals.
