Tijuana is the largest city on the Baja California Peninsula. It also happens to be the most visited border city in the world. Americans pop across for holiday, evenings out or weekend shopping, while under-age teens enjoy the lower drinking age this side of the border. Whether you’re the shopper or partier, you shouldn’t be lacking for resources for either. Bars and clubs are plentiful, and quite often you'll be tempted inside by staff outdoors. Malls are great for shopping, but be sure to check down side roads for stalls and sidewalk sales. If you happen to be so inclined, there is a red light district in the city. Conservative guests might want to stick to the tourist-friendly Zona Centro. You can also find more attractions by crossing the border into San Diego.

Gaming

The casino provides a selection of classic and video slot machines in various denominations. Try your hand on a few machines as a jackpot could only be a spin away. If you prefer, there’s bingo on site, as well as a sportsbook where you can bet on horse-racing and major international sporting events. Whichever activity you choose, after the hustle and bustle of the crowded tourist-laden city, some indoors time might be what you’re really craving.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site. About 0.3 km from the casino you can find the Aqua Rio. Rooms come equipped with cable television and come in either Deluxe King Bed or Deluxe Double Bed. In the lobby you can find a bar and restaurant, and security patrols the facilities 24/7. The hotel is near the downtown core where you find other bars and restaurants as well as shopping. Looking for higher-end hotels? Head over to San Diego while making Tijuana a day trip.

Dining

There’s plenty of authentic Mexican fare about. Try Café La Especial, Bol Corona, or Taqueria. For seafood there’s El Mazateno, the Sushi House or Negro Durazo. Continental and Mexican cuisine meet in Albahaca, serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners. For further options, ask casino or hotel staff to suggest places nearby. Alternately, pop over to San Diego for more international options.

Attractions/NightLife

It’s Tijuana – there’s no end to the bars and clubs around the city. This is truly a nightlife city. Try along Avenida Revolucion or the Plaza del Zapato. Options include Baby Rock and El Fuente. The city has a red light district if you’re so inclined. There’s a police presence for safety measures, but use common sense if going into the area. Shopping is huge here – brand name clothes as well as knock-offs, crafts, dolls, watches, etc. This is the time to put your best haggling skills to use. Hit one of the many stalls or shop in the markets or along the side streets. Malls include Plaza Rio, Plaza Monarca, and Galerias Hipodromo. If interested, you can catch a bull fight in Plays de Tijuana.

Rewards/Deals

The casino has a player rewards system in place. Accumulate points which can then be redeemed toward food and drink purchases. Be sure to ask a casino rep about any promotions or contests which might be running during your visit.
