Managua Intercontinental Hotel and Casino

Located on the south western shore of Lake Xolotlan (also called Lake Managua) is Managua, largest and capital city of Nicaragua. The city is also considered the cultural capital and there are several things to do while visiting with their restaurants, bars, museums and theatres. There are several lagoons in the city and can mostly be found in the Tiscapa Lagoon Natural Reserve. The hotel and casino are located just by the country’s largest shopping mall which contains over 120 stores.

Unfortunately, if you’re interested in slots this won’t be the casino for you as there are none. Voltes Restaurant serves up such menu items as pastas, fresh seafood, salads and homemade breads. Nau Lounge serves sushi in trendy surroundings. Guests at the hotel can take advantage of 24 hour room service. Spend some time with hotel and casino staff asking about recommendations on great nearby eateries popular with locals and tourists that dish up authentic Nicaraguan cuisine.

Attractions/NightLife

Hang out on the terrace enjoying drinks, or inside listening to jazz music or DJ stylings in Nau Lounge. Take your cocktails poolside at the hotel or find your own new favourite watering hole in town. Visit the lagoons in the city especially at the Tiscapa Lagoon Natural Reserve. Visit the Plaza de la Revolucion or the National Palace. For theatre, there’s The Ruben Dario National Theatre. Other areas of interest include the Monumento al Liberalismo, the National Library and St James Cathedral. Keep an eye out for festivals like the one celebrating Santo Domingo de Guzman.
