Casino Premie

Considered a rather bohemian community, with its artists, photographers and musicians, Barranco draws the eccentric and displays the eclectic. Visit local galleries, museums and malls and check out art-deco homes and colonial mansions, when not hanging out in their local casino, Casino Premie. Other areas of interest are the beaches, cliffs, and marina which provides for the local yacht club. Stroll along the Bajada de los Banos and cross the Puente de los Suspiros, the Bridge of Sighs for a romantic afternoon with a loved one, or a solitary picnic in the park.

Gaming

The casino offers up a very moderate 119 gaming machines (slots and video poker) and zero table games. Perhaps not the greatest selection, but maybe enough to satisfy a gambling itch or kill an hour or two between walks around the city. Consider a bit of light gambling here when you just need a little ‘you’ time and somewhere to get off your feet out from the sun.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site. 6 blocks from the casino you can find Hotel Miramar. Rooms come in standard 2 singles, standard queen, suite and triple occupancy and all come equipped with free wireless internet and a breakfast buffet. The hotel has a multi-lingual staff, limited room service, a 24 hour business centre and a café on site. Spend some time getting to know your hotel staff to get a heads-up on lesser-known local attractions, great eateries and potential festivals or events.

Dining

There are no dining facilities on site. Back at the hotel, you can enjoy a free breakfast buffet with your stay. Walk round the district finding you own new favourite restaurant. A good place to look is in and around the Bridge of Sighs (or Puente de los Suspiros). Options include Punta Sal, Brujas de Cachiche and Alfresco Seafood Restaurant.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Spend some time walking around the city. Follow the Bajada de los Banos and cross the Puente de los Suspiros, the Bridge of Sighs, into the park; a very romantic experience in and of itself. Try Help Retro Bar, a popular weekend club, or El Dragon, a club as well. Note: both venues carry a cover charge. Being a very artisan-style region, there are several bars, pubs, restaurants, galleries, museums and parks to check out. Hang out at the beaches admiring some cliff-top views.
