El Puerto

Callao is one of the largest and most important ports in Peru, also called Provincia Constitucional. Here, in the upscale district of La Punta you can find El Peurto, a casino with modest offerings.They may not be heavy in their slots count, but the region itself is beautiful; an higher-class region with a lot to do. So after an hour or two in the casino, head into the city - you won't be lacking for entertainment. There are several sites and areas of interest to visit when not in the casino. Callao is built around a peninsula and there are several nearby islands. San Lorenzo is a military base and El Fronton is a former high-security prison, but the one possibly most photo-worthy is Palominos with its sea birds and sea lions. Consider checking out the historical fortress, the Castillo de Real Felipe. Stroll through the large gardens in the nearby hotel or pamper yourself by availing yourself to one of their many services.

The casino offers up a very modest 134 slot and video poker machines and no table games. Spend an hour or two trying your luck and kicking back, before heading back out into the city.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site. Just 1 km away from the casino you can find the Hotel Casa Presidente. Rooms come in singles, doubles, twins and an Odria Suite, named for the ex-president. Rooms contain climate control, 29” tvs, king sized beds and elegant furnishings. Guests may enjoy walking outdoors in their garden; of their 40,900 sq ft. about 10,765 sq ft have been set aside for gardens and a pool. Facilities include a Russian sauna, Turkish wet sauna, a Finnish dry sauna, massage room, Jacuzzi, beauty salon and a gym. The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant.

Dining

There are no dining facilities on site. Choose to dine back at the hotel with its 4 dining rooms, Peruvian fare and garden grill, or try one of several options near the casino, such as La Pescaderia, Chez Nico or Restaurante Requena. Alternately, talk o the casino staff about popular local venues that may align better with your budget and where you can sample even more South American cuisine.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Stay back at the hotel enjoying a Pisco Sour in their bar, Monk’s Bar, or at one of several others bars and clubs in the city like Antigua Taberna Queirolo, Huaringas Bar, Club de Regatas or La Noch. During the day, take in some shopping, trip over to one of the islands, or pamper yourself back at the hotel.
