Admiral Star City Casino

Located in the San Borja district in one of the more upscale areas of the city you can find the Admiral Star City Casino. The area was once part of the Surquillo and San Isidro districts but separated into its own in 1983, catering to higher-end (middle to upper) residences as can be seen by its many ‘green areas’ (parks and gardens). Consider some times taking leisurely strolls and having picnic lunches out. You may find a sense of familiarity as you walk around and notice streets named after prominent artists, for example, Calle Van Gogh and Calle Monet.

Use your time to get to know the staff and uncover hidden gems in the area such as market and eateries.

Dining

The casino has neither bars nor restaurants. Nearby options include El Lomito, Roky’s Diner, and Dori Tito. If you’re interested in Japanese fare try Chifa Kam Mey My, just steps from the casino. Talk to a casino host or staff at the hotel for recommendations on popular local eateries or choose your own while walking around the city. Consider buying local produce and making yourself a picnic lunch and eating in one of the parks.

Entertainment/Nightlife

There are entertainment facilities on site save for the gaming machines. Visit Museum of the Nation in San Borja with its blend of Peruvian and modern art. For a day trip, check out an ancient archaeological site and discover the Ichma culture. Look for what is essentially an 8 ft. high pyramid. There isn’t a lot of active nightlife save for a few local bars. Your best bet is to drive the couple km into Miraflores with its wider selection of eateries, bars and clubs.
