Aladino Casino

Located in the San Borja district, with its middle to upper class residences, lies Aladino Casino. This district broke off from its sisters Surquillo and Isidro back in 1983 and now operate as its own independent district with its own distinct sense of community. The region is flush with green areas, that is to say, parks and gardens, and travelers have a lot of scenery to take in or in which to spend a day trip. Consider making a picnic lunch to enjoy in one of the several parks. Take note of their streets, coined after prominent artists such as Van Gogh and Rousseau.

Gaming

Aladino opened its doors in 1994 and offers 141 gaming machines operating in both soles and dollars. The casino runs random events so talk to a floor rep about any which may be currently running. The casino operates 24 hours daily and provides a parking service. The widest selection of games not may not be available, but it’s a nice way to spend a few hours relaxing before heading back out to tour the city.

Hotel/Accommodations

There are no hotels on site however you can find one a mere 2 blocks from the casino; a very easy walking distance. The Gold Source Hotel offers rooms in simple, double, triple and presidential and provides private parking. Talk to the staff about any hidden gems in the city like attractions and eateries.

Dining

There are no restaurants or bars on site but just outside the casino is El Rocoto with its Peruvian and Italian blended fare. Get to know your hotel staff or talk to a casino rep about popular local eateries or recommendations. Walk around yourself and pick your favourite new place to sample South American cuisine. Alternately, consider purchasing some local market produce for a picnic lunch in one of the parks.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Check out Club Germania, a social club providing full bar service and a heavy German atmosphere. Rub shoulders with locals to soak up local culture and customs. Wander over to the Maria Angola Convention Centre to see which concerts may be playing and see if there still available tickets. Spend your afternoons relaxing in the parks, sunning or eating lunches.
