There are several restaurants in the city, so head out into the core looking for your new favourite eateries dishing up authentic African cuisine. Attractions/NightLife

Enjoy your drinks on the outdoor terrace at Coral Cliff Bar, serving all your favourite cocktails, or head over to Karambezi Café, serving not only drinks, but meals as well. For a little bit of finery, there’s Kaskazi Lounge, with its wine and fine cigars. There's several pubs and nightclubs in the city, so you can always trek about finding the best watering holes. To best appreciate the culture of the region, there’s no better place than the House of Culture. For history, try either the National Museum or Village Museum, also near the Botanical Gardens. For marine fauna, there’s either the Dar es Salaam Marine Reserve or the Bongoyo Island Marine Reserve. Of course, you can always take a safari through the Serengeti to best appreciate the indigenous wildlife. Out on the islands you can also swim, snorkel and scuba dive among the coral. Lastly, head over to Bagamoyo where you can check out the Kaole ruins, about an hour outside of town.
