Hammamet is one of the older, and still popular tourist destinations in Tunisia, with the beaches still being a major draw and all the water activities commonly associated with them. The city itself has been around quite a while (around 5 centuries) and can be seen from the still existing fortress walls and old mosques. The city is also referred to as Yasmine Hammamet due to the jasmine prevalent in the area. For outdoor beauty, there are several green areas, most notably in the resorts scattered around the area. There's a fairly active nightlife, so you should be able to well fill your evenings after days at the beaches and in the casino.

The casino might not have enough to satisfy the most enthusiastic of gamblers, but more than enough for all those who enjoy it recreationally. There are no hotels on site but you may be interested in staying at the all-inclusive Iberostar Chich Khan Hotel. There are 240 rooms across 4 floors, coming in double, family and jr suites. Restaurants at the hotel offer international cuisine and the more adventurous guests can take part in belly-dancing classes. Amenities on site include dining facilities, a spa, beauty salon and private beach.

Dining

For international and Tunisian cuisine buffet-style head to Restaurante el Hambra, with breakfasts from 7 am until 10 am, lunches 12:30 until 2:30 and dinners from 6:30 until 9 pm. If you really like to run the gauntlet of worldly flavours, guests of the hotel can enjoy their ‘dine-around’ system, where you can hit other Iberostar Hotels nearby, each with different international cuisines. Iberostar Averroes offers Italian, Iberostar Solaria serves Arabian fare, Iberostar Belisaire offers Thai and Indonesian, and Iberostar Chich Khan provides Mexican. These themed dinners run from 7 pm until 9:30 pm. For light eats like sandwiches and pastries, there’s Cactus Bar There are also several restaurants in the region, so find the ones most suited to you based on taste and budget.

Attractions/NightLife

For more light eats as well as drinks, there’s Bar Skifa. For teas and coffees try Moorish Café. There’s several bars, pubs and nightclubs about. Find your own new favourite watering hole or ask casino staff for suggestions on places popular with locals or tourists. A big draw here are the beaches and the water activities one normally associates with them like sunning and swimming, snorkelling and jet-skiing.
