One of the earliest, and still quite popular tourist destinations in Tunisia, would be in Hammamet. The beaches here are stunning and continue to draw travelers interested in all the water activities as may be found and commonly associated with those regions flush with beaches. The Grand Casino Yasmine offers a bit more than its sister over on the north side (the Grand Casino Hammamet) though not by a large margin. Dining

For Tunisian cuisine there’s Le Carthage, or you can head into the city seeking out any number of restaurants serving up authentic North African fare. Don’t be shy to ask casino staff for recommendations on nearby eateries that are both popular with tourists and locals when you’re not adventurous enough to pick one yourself. For something light to eat, hit up one of the markets and grab a lunch to go.

Attractions/NightLife

The city is used to tourists, and with that, comes a varied selection of pubs and clubs. Find your own new favourite watering hole based on taste and style or try Blue Bar, The Queen Vie or the Moorish Café. Certainly the popular thing to do in Hammamet is hit the beaches. You can take part in pretty much any water based activity like sunning, swimming, sailing, jet-skiing, snorkeling, and surfing. If funds permit, consider chartering a boat to take out into the waters for scuba-diving and fishing. Get a feel for the history and culture of the city by hitting the markets and picking up souvenirs while honing your haggling skills, visit local mosques, or check out some of the older fortress walls or the fort itself. If you enjoy golf, there’s two courses close to both the hotel and the casino. Try a round over at Yasmine Golf or Golf Citrus. If you’re not feeling that active, take a leisurely stroll through one of the gardens or green areas scattered about.
