Argosy Casino - Alton

The original Argosy first opened in St. Louis, but the Alton location packs just as powerful a punch! In fact, it has made its own history in Illinois. On Spetember 10, 1991, Argosy Casino opened its doors as the very first casino in the state of Illinois. Its original structure was a ship, known as the “Baby Belle”. It consisted of 296 Slots and 22 Table Games. The casino was revamped and moved to land in 1999. Since then it has flourished as one of the greatest casinos in Illinois. It now boasts over 1,000 gaming machines, contains three restaurants and one amazing music hall.
