Golden Gulch Casino

This is a tiny casino, and from the outside, almost looks like an antique home. It’s cozy, charming and best of all, they offer some of the loosest games around! Golden Gulch is a sister property to fellow Black Hawk casinos Mardi Gras and Golden Gates. They are known for their loose gaming as well, so you’re sure to win some cash during your visit. These other locations are just moments away and the same rewards card can be used at all three, making things beyond convenient for you. An interesting little detail about the property is that, it’s believed the lower level was Black Hawk’s former jail house. There is one bar and no hotel on site. Don’t let that scare you away, there are plenty of accommodations just minutes from the casino.

As far as gaming, keep in mind they are on the smaller side. One thing they definitely have going for them, however, are their loose Slot and Video Poker machines. You won’t mind one bit that they don’t have a huge selection of games to choose from once you start hitting those Jackpots! Unfortunately, there are no hotel accommodations available at this location. However, Black Hawk is filled with other casinos that feature their own hotels on site. Take advantage of all the necessary amenities at a nearby hotel of your choice. Suggested hotels include: Ameristar Casino Resort Spa, Peck House Empire, Comfort Suites and Best Western Lodge. These locations are between .1 to 12 miles from Mardi Gras.

Dining

There is actually no restaurant on the property; however members of their Golden Rewards Club are eligible to receive free popcorn and a hot dog each time they play in the casino. If you prefer to have more options, Mardi Gras and Golden Gates have a combined total of 3 restaurants for you to dine in and possibly even receive meal discounts with your rewards card! Enjoy a variety of American, Asian and simple deli-style foods.

Entertainment/Nightlife

The Golden Gulch Bar offers a variety of beers, ales, wines and mixed cocktails for you to get your night started on a good note! They provide you with a fun and casual atmosphere, much like their casino. You will find three other bars available between their sister casinos, including Gold Bar (Golden Gates), Jester Bar and Masquerade Lounge (Mardi Gras).
