The Jackpot Crossing Casino in Carson City, Nevada, is about as basic as a casino can get. It was formerly known as the Silver Dollar Casino and had a restaurant called the Sky Café at that time, unfortunately, the restaurant no longer exists. This casino is within a couple thousand feet of Empire Ranch Golf Course and is about 1.5 miles south of the Carson City Airport. It is also about a mile east of the Gold Dust West Casino, also in Carson City, Nevada. While this casino may not offer a ton of amenities, it is an excellent place to hang out, have a few drinks, and enjoy the wide array of slot machines and top-notch customer service. The drink service is really swift as multiple waitresses are usually covering the floor and there is a wide array of LCD HDTV's to enjoy sports viewing. One interesting aspect of this casino is that they have a free self-serve soda/coffee machine, while many people would prefer to have cocktail waitresses bring them such drinks, some would prefer not to tip on a cup of pop or coffee, so that can be avoided here.

Gaming

Jackpot Crossing Casino features 172 of the latest slot, video poker and video keno machines. The vast majority of the machines are either lower-denomination or multi-denomination machines, which makes this an ideal destination for a budget-conscious gambler. In addition, while this casino does not have Table Games, it does feature poker tournaments every Saturday and Sunday which often draw a reasonably good crowd. While 172 might not be the highest machine count in the State of Nevada, this casino features a wide array of games, so a player is sure to find something that he/she will enjoy while at this location.

Hotel/Accommodations

Unfortunately, this casino does not operate a hotel, however, it is only about a mile South from the Carson City Airport, so there are a number of hotels within one-two miles of the casino, including: Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Super 8, Motel 6, Nugget Hotel, Quality Inn, Plaza Hotel and many more.

Dining

At one time, Jackpot Crossing was home to an American restaurant called the Sky Café, unfortunately, that has closed in recent years. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, though, including Kei Sushi and China Chef.

Entertainment/Nightlife

There's no real nightlife at this casino, although, it's an excellent place to unwind and watch a game. The casino is also near the Empire Ranch Golf Course, so it's a nice place to stop and relax either before or after playing a round.
