Carson Plains Casino

The Carson Plains Casino is a 24/7 casino located in Dayton, NV and shares a property with the 24/7 Carson Plains Market, which is a convenience store. This property is part of the Silver Strike group of casinos and has one restaurant as well as a bar. Dayton, Nevada is a census-designated place with a population of about 9000 and is located in Western Nevada along the Carson River. This casino is mainly frequented by locals, but occasionally, passers-by will stop in going from Nevada to California, or vice-versa. This CDP is located about six miles north of historic Virginia City, Nevada, and as with Virginia City, originally grew in size due to the discovery of the Comstock Lode. Much like Virginia City, Dayton also suffered from two, "Great Fires," in the mid-1800's that caused significant damage to the town and greatly reduced its size at the time. There may not be any more precious metals to be found in the region, but hopefully, you'll strike it rich on one of the slot machines at this casino.

The Carson Plains Casino offers a not unimpressive 106 total machines inclusive to video poker, slots and video keno. Bartop video poker is also available at the casino lounge. Despite the limited number of total units, this casino manages to offer an impressive array of the newest games, including Game Star Video Poker and slot machines including The Swordsman, The Lovely Outlaws and Wolf Run 2, amongst others. This casino also offers Bingo at varying hours and on varying days, including Sunday, Wednesday and Friday with four sessions total every three hours starting at 11a.m. There are two Saturday sessions at 11a.m. as well as 9p.m.

Hotel/Accommodations

Unfortunately, this casino does not operate a hotel, but there are a number of hotels (many independent) available within a twenty mile radius in cities such as Virginia City.

Dining

This casino features one restaurant, which is called, The Ranch House. This restaurant has a menu of predominantly American-style food and operates from 7:30a-10:00p and is popular amongst the locals.

Entertainment/Nightlife

This is a bit of a quiet town, so unfortunately, you won't find much in the way of nightlife at this location. It consists pretty much of the machines and a few HDTV's, mostly near the bar.
