Horseshu Hotel and Casino

Ameristar owns and operates Horseshu which opened in 1954. Ameristar Casinos Inc. is based in Las Vegas and runs several casinos around the United States. Guests will find quite a bit when it comes to gaming, entertainment and dining options. Ameristar has built a good reputation and this casino is a good example of the type of experience you can expect. While you’re there you can stop by the other casino run by Ameristar, Cactus Pete’s.

Gaming

The casino is 3,000 square feet with approximately 60 Slots, Video Poker and Video Keno machines with denominations from a penny to $1. The casino offers 3 electronic Table Games including $3 Royal Match Blackjack, $3 Ultimate Texas Hold’em and $3 Three Card Poker. It’s gaming on a smaller scale but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Jackpot area. A bonus is that there are a number of other casinos in the city that make for a wonderful day trip.

Hotel/Accommodations

The hotel contains 120 rooms including 10 Jacuzzi Suites. Guests have access to the Olympic sized pool, whirl pool and spa. Guests can also park free anywhere on the property. Travelling in an RV? Park it and play a while. There is also an onsite RV park on the property. The General Store is the perfect place for all the little things you may have forgotten.

Dining

Pancho Villa’s offers dishes of authentic Mexican and southwestern favorites. They pride themselves in serving up food using the freshest ingredients. Guacamole is made table side and served straight to you. Other dishes include Adobe Tortilla Soup, Homemade Tamales and Deep Fried Ice Cream. Hours of Operation: Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday - 5pm - 9pm Friday and Saturday - 5pm - 11pm Monday and Tuesday - Closed

Entertainment/Nightlife

The place to indulge in some fine entertainment is the Horseshu Saloon. It’s a dim atmosphere with leather upholstered barstools and unique wagon wheel chandeliers. The old west is alive and well in Jackpot! The Saloon says: Take off your spurs, stay a while, and feel free to two-step the night away. Warm up your singing voice and prepare for a Karaoke Saturday night. Hours of Operation: Sunday – Thursday – 10am – 2am Friday and Saturday - 24 Hours Karaoke Saturday – 9pm – 1am
