Best Western Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino

Mardi Gras features a modest casino and a hotel run by Best Western. The location is off the Strip but convenient shuttles run daily to and from both the Strip and the airport plus it’s close to the Convention Center. It’s a great location for those visiting Las Vegas for business or those that would rather save their cash for gambling. You can rent a room for under $50 and venture out to all the major casinos each day. If you’re simply looking for a place to sleep at night, then Mardi Gras could be the place for you.

Gaming

The Big Easy Casino features 50 gaming machines including Video Poker, Keno and Video Reel Slots. It’s not very many but it would be a nice spot for a night cap. There aren’t any Table Games so it’s a great excuse to check out the Strip. Although small, the casino runs promotions regularly such as Big Wednesdays where players earn extra points when they play. Thursdays are tournament days where players take part in two round of Video Poker for a chance to win first prize of $250.

Hotel/Accommodations

The hotel features 300 rooms, a pool and laundry facilities. Each of the standard rooms offer 440 square feet of space and the following standard amenities: A bar/work area, refrigerator, in-room coffee service, Wi-Fi, hair dyer, iron and ironing board and cable TV. Last we checked, rooms were just $34 a night. You can’t beat the price especially with complimentary Strip shuttle service. Overall, the rooms are basic but serve their purpose.

Dining

Bon Temps Café is open around the clock and offers a pub style experience. There are Slots along the bar and big screen TV’s around the room. Grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late night snack. Menu items include a range of starters, salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, fish and chips, ribs, tacos and much more. You’re sure to find something to suit your fancy.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Mardi Gras is not necessarily the place to expect entertainment and excitement. You won’t find the hottest entertainers putting on shows but you’re not far from all the action of the Strip so hop on a shuttle and explore the top casinos in Las Vegas.
