Village Pub & Casino-Green Valley

The Village Pub & Casino-Green Valley is a quintessential video poker bar and restaurant located in Henderson, Nevada about a mile south of Henderson casinos such as Eastside Cannery and Sam's Town. It is about four miles East of the McCarran International Airport, roughly five miles East of the Las Vegas Strip and about seven-eight miles Southeast of Downtown Las Vegas. This video poker bar is one of nine locations for this chain which is owned by the same group that owns the Ellis Island Casino & Brewery on Koval near the Las Vegas Strip. These locations are somewhat similar to a Dotty's with the main difference being Dotty's housing a video poker bar and convenience store while these locations house restaurants. In the instance of this particular location, it's mainly frequented by locals as it is within walking distance of some residential areas and is, for the most part, away from the areas in which tourists are going to go. With that having been said, these locations are well-known for great customer service, speedy drink service, and decent eats throughout all locations.

Gaming

The Village Pub & Casino-Green Valley actually has a wider array of gaming options than most of its sister properties. This particular establishment has forty slot, video poker and video keno games whereas other properties of this variety operate on different licenses and are limited to fifteen machines. These may not be ideal locations for the Video Poker enthusiasts, however, as the paytables tend to be worse than many Vegas resort casinos. With that being said, these types of locations do offer comparable slot payouts, and this one in particular tends to focus on having some of the newer machines at the establishment. While there may only be forty total machines, they do try to swap machines in and out periodically to keep the choices fresh.

Hotel/Accommodations

Unfortunately, the Village Pub & Casino-Green Valley, does not operate a hotel, nor does it have any plans to ever do so. For those who want to stay at a casino-hotel in the Henderson area, nearby establishments are the Eastside Cannery and Sam's Town, (both about three miles North) Sunset Station (about a mile Southeast) and Fiesta Henderson (about two miles Southeast). For those looking for franchise hotels irrespective of whether or not there is an attached casino, La Quinta is about 1.5 miles West, Courtyard is about a half mile West, and Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn are all clustered around Sunset Station, about a mile Southeast.

Dining

The restaurant area for this location is open from 7a.m.-10p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 7a.m.-11p.m. Fri-Sat. These locations have menus downloadable (based on location) on the Village Pub website and the kitchen/bar at this location are both open 24/7.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Unfortunately, these locations don't offer any entertainment aside from the gaming. However, nearby Sam's Town and Eastside Cannery often feature live entertainment...most notably Eastside Cannery who often has one-time famous bands playing.
