Golden Nugget Laughlin

Right next door to the Pioneer casino riverboat. Very nice casino with lots to see and do. Just walking around and looking, you'll cool old pictures and history of Laughlin. Great place to gamble and have an enjoyable experience.

I had a great time in Laughlin. The whole strip of casinos is a sight to see for sure. Unfortunately I only had one night to spend here but I highly recommend the experience!

i didnt really enjoy it. it needed some upgrading. rewards club was closed when i went so i couldnt get a card or comp

It reminded me of the old arcade classic Street Fighter II if the characters Balrog and Guile fought...

I have played at so many land-based casinos through the years and therefore I can not begin to name just one favorite. For me they each have their individual pluses and minuses, kind of like people. However, there are a few that were a bit more memorable and the Golden Nugget, in Laughlin, Nevada is one that comes to mind....

I have played at so many land-based casinos through the years and therefore I can not begin to name just one favorite. For me they each have their individual pluses and minuses, kind of like people. However, there are a few that were a bit more memorable and the Golden Nugget, in Laughlin, Nevada is one that comes to mind. The first time I visited The Nugget was in 1984 and at that time, it was one of only five casinos in Laughlin. I call this time; Laughlin’s wild, wild, west days because, it truly was similar to the wild western times of the 1800’s. The ole’ gamblin’, whiskey, cigars, and wild women in the saloons and casinos we have read or heard about in U. S. history. The Nugget was unique in it was the Cadillac of all the casinos at that time. The food was absolutely delicious, plentiful, and incredibly priced. The casino offered an all you could eat bacon, ham, and egg buffet breakfast for $1.99, seven days a week. I did not understand how they could sell that type and amount of food at that price. The lunch buffet was $3.99 for all you could eat and the dinner buffet (except Saturday) was $5.99. Needless to say, my family, visiting relatives and friends ate many a meal at the Golden Nugget. I was not much of a gambler at that time, but I loved to go watch my husband play Blackjack. There was something special about the pit area of the casino. Everyone always seemed to be having a fantastic time, even the employees working. It was so funny to watch all the people’s reactions when they won or lost. It made such an impression on me that a year later I became a dealer. Those days are long gone but not forgotten. But the Golden Nugget and Laughlin, Nevada are still today a great value for your gaming buck. Good food, lots of fun activities, and friendly people, available 24/7 what more could a gambler want?
