Opened in July of 1995, the Silver Legacy Resort & Casino is one of the largest gambling locations in Reno, boasting 85,000 square feet of gaming space, and has amenities, games and accommodations that can rival many of the casinos in Las Vegas. The Deluxe Rooms offer 336 square feet of space, triple sheets, plush mattresses, ergonomic chairs/desks, armchairs, coffee makers, 24/7 room service, 32" HDTV's and a variety of hotel amenities and services including a business center and pool. Panoramic View rooms are similar to Deluxe Rooms with a notable exception being the end of the hall locations and astounding view of the city and surrounding mountains. Spa Suites are the next step up and feature a California King bed and more space between 500-700 square feet depending on whether one gets the Deluxe of Superior Suite. These feature in-room hot tubs, city and mountain views, a living room area, refrigerator, and 37" LCD HDTV's.

Dining

There are a wide variety of dining options at Silver Legacy Casino & Resort, which include: Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse: This fine-dining experience was voted, by OpenTable, as one of the Top 100 customer service experiences in the entire country and has won fifteen Wine Spectator Awards. Comparable to any steakhouse in Vegas, this restaurant features interactive electronic wine and food menus as well as over 300 wines. It is open at 5:00p nightly, with no set closing time, and also offers an all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch from 9:00a-2:00p, which is an excellent value as it features many items from the main menu. Pearl Oyster Bar & Grill: It's back, although in a different section of the casino with a new ultra-chic design! It opens at 11:00a daily with no set closing time and features an expansive seafood menu sure to please! Hussong's Cantina: This upbeat Mexican eatery features a variety of Baja cuisine choices, many with some modern twists. It is open daily from 11:00a-11:00p with weekend breakfast from 10:00a-Noon. Flavors! The Buffet: The buffet has one of the more charming sets of aesthetics of casino-buffets with a bright color scheme and pleasant floral displays and wall hangings. It features American, Italian, Mexican and Asian foods with a seafood buffet on Friday and International Night on Saturday. It is open for breakfast Wednesday-Friday from 8:00a-11:00a, Champagne Brunch is on weekends from 8:00a-2:00p, Lunch begins at 11:00a Wednesday-Friday, and dinner runs from 4:30p-10:00p Wednesday-Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Café Central: This café and wine bar is open 24/7 with specials at various times and features mostly an American menu. Fresh Express Food Court: This food court features four individual eateries which are all open from 4:30p-11:00p Friday, 8:00a-11:00p on Saturday and 8:00a-2:00p on Sunday. Sips Coffee and Tea: Sips is the café in the hotel lobby featuring coffee, tea and coffee drinks as well as some grab-and-go food items. It is open from 6:00a-8:00p Monday-Thursday and 6:00a-2:00a on weekends. Starbucks: This is a coffee shop open from 6:00a-10:00p Sunday-Thursday and 6:00a-2:00a Friday and Saturday.

Entertainment/Nightlife

The Silver Legacy features the Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club with various acts at different times, so it is best to check the website for details and ticketing information. Additionally, the Grand Exposition Hall is the concert and performance venue and can seat over 1,600 people. This casino also features the Aura Ultra Lounge which is open Wednesday-Sunday and features DJ's playing the most recent hits in a classy atmosphere. The Blender Bar is a bar specializing exclusively in frozen drinks, but also has a respectable beer menu. Rum Bullions can be counted on to be open daily from 4:00p-2:00a and features an indoor/outdoor venue and live DJ's on the weekends. Drinx Reno Lounge: This lounge features TV's surrounding the entire seating area playing the latest music videos as well as some classics. Silver Baron Lounge: This is open seven days a week and features plasma TV's as well as live entertainment on some nights.
