Silver Strike Casino

The Silver Strike Casino is a small casino and restaurant located in Silver Springs, Nevada. Despite its small size, it's easy to find due to the prominent signage in front featuring a silverback snake wearing a cowboy hat above the casino's name in big bold red lettering. This casino is one of three casinos in Jake's Family of casinos with the other two being the Silverado Casino in Fernley, Nevada and the Carson Plains Casino in Dayton, Nevada. While it has an airport as well as a population of over 5,000, Silver Springs, Nevada remains a census-designated place rather than an incorporated municipality. The CDP is located in Northern Nevada and doesn't feature too much in the way of tourist attractions, so most of the people you'll encounter at this casino and restaurant will be locals or passers-through rather than tourists. That having been said, the service is the kind that you would come to expect at a much larger establishment as the staff, property-wide, are always smiling and willing to answer any questions a visitor might have. The locals in this establishment are also generally pretty friendly, so don't be surprised if you strike up a conversation with someone in there.

Gaming

This casino features sixty-five slot, video poker and video keno machines. Surprisingly, this small casino regularly rotates their games in and out in order to have the most up-to-date selections available. Amongst these selections are Game Star Video Poker units, Lucky Larry's Lobstermania 2, Wild Bear Paws, Prowling Panther and Swordsman. In addition to these machines, there are also a couple of old favorites available. There is also bartop video poker available at the lounge located within the casino.

Hotel/Accommodations

Unfortunately, the Silver Strike casino does not operate a hotel, however, there are hotels in nearby Fernley such as Best Western, Super 8 and Cmfort Suites. By nearby, of course, we mean fifteen miles away...but it is rural Nevada we're talking about, here!

Dining

The Silver Strike Casino is home to a single restaurant, which is Striker's Restaurant, the restaurant has been known to feature regular (though oftn-changing) specials and it is open from 7a-9p daily, but stays open until 10p on weekends. The restaurant consists of basic American-style food, but it is well-prepared, and the prices are extremely economical.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Unfortunately, there's not much in the way of nightlife to be found at this casino. This place pretty much consists of the machines, restaurant, bar and a few TV's.
