When in Sun Valley, you must stop off at Hobey’s Casino. The scenery is beautiful as the casino is situated near the mountains. Whether you like to hike, shop or gamble the day away, Sun Valley can deliver. The casino has become a local favorite and as we all know, if the locals are loving it, it must be good.

Gaming

When it comes to the casino, there are more than 400 of your favorite games waiting for you. Choose from a variety of Slots and Video Poker machines. Choose from Multi Strike Poker, Spin Poker, Triple Play 5, 10, 50 and 100 Play Poker and a multitude of progressives.

Hotel/Accommodations

Thank goodness for all the hotels in the Sun Valley area because Hobey’s doesn’t have one. The gaming is great but you’ll need to sleep somewhere else. Dining

The Sun Valley Steak House offers a variety of fine dining options. They serve petite filet mignon, prime rib, New York Steak, chicken special, Beer Battered Prawns, coconut prawns, crab cakes, lobster and all the sides. You’d think that these meals must come with a high price tag but the prices are very reasonable. Diners can make reservations or walk in from Tuesday through Saturday 5pm to 9pm. The Coffee Shop is a more casual and relaxed place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. They offer a number of specials and members of the player’s club aged 55 and over receive a 10% discount. The hours are Sunday to Thursday 6am to 10pm and Friday and Saturday 6am to 11pm.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Entertainment isn’t Hobey’s strong suit unless we’re talking about what’s happening in the casino. Nevada is full of entertainment so you’re in luck. You can take in some beautiful scenery and check out the Bald Mountain Trail. There are also plenty of shopping, swimming, spa resorts, dining and more. Sun Valley is filled with entertainments from concerts to fly fishing.
