Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino

Formerly known as the Stateline Casino, the Wendover Nugget changed hands and underwent a name change in 2004. Located in West Wendover, the hotel and casino lies between the Nevada and Utah border. There are a variety of dining options, modest hotel rooms with plenty of amenities and even a bus tour which takes guests on a guided tour of the area. They are owned by Nugget Casinos who also runs Red Garter Casino in West Wendover.

Gaming

The casino is a decent size with more than 800 Slots and other gaming machines including Video Poker and Video Keno. Players will find a selection of penny machines and a range of denominations up to $25. The games are provided by several top software providers using ticket-in, ticket-out technology. Table Games are located in the Pit and include Blackjack, Royal Match, Roulette, Craps, Three Card Poker and Pai Gow Poker. TV’s are displayed around the tables so players can keep an eye on the sports action. Nine tables are available in the Poker Room and feature regular games in addition to no-limit games and tournaments each week. The casino also has a Keno Lounge and Sports Book.

Hotel/Accommodations

The standard guest rooms are simple with no frills. The action is in the casino after all. There are 500 rooms, Jacuzzi suites, and luxury suites making it a fairly small hotel. Guests can relax and take a dip in the pool and hot tub. All rooms come with a flat screen TV with in-room movies and games, pillow top mattresses, down comforters, coffee maker, vanity and hair dryer. Luxury suites available include Deluxe, Bar Suites and more.

Dining

When it’s time for a meal, there are several options available. Stop by the Nugget Steakhouse for a bit of fine dining with steaks, seafood, pasta and more. There’s also Golden Harvest Cafe open 24/7, Trino’s Tacos for a taste of Mexico and a buffet for a little of everything.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Looking for a place to have a drink? Guests have four bars to choose from. Enjoy everything from martinis, cigars and pool or darts. Each bar opens at 3pm with the exception of the Stage Bar which remains open 24/7. Free entertainment is the draw at the Wendover Nugget. Enjoy live bands from the local scene appearing at the Stage Bar Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. A bus tour is offered from the hotel taking guests on the Wendover Nugget Bus Tour. There are three schedules available, $5 off the buffet and group charters are offered.
