Casino White Cloud

Opened in 2008, Casino White Cloud is situated in the rolling hills of North East Kansas on the Iowa Tribe Reservation. With its “out of the way” location, Casino White Cloud is definitely a cloud with a silver lining. The casino is a hit among locals with a variety of gaming option and the country buffet. The casino has receive a series of accolades such as readers choice Bronze and Silver from the St. Joseph NewsPress (2011 Silver) consecutively.

Gaming

Since opening in 2008, the casino has grown from a small selection of Slots to today with more than double the number of games. The casino has some of that old school flair with a mixture of 380 coin-in Slot machines and ticket-in, ticket-out technology machines. The casino features a variety of live and electronic Table Games including Blackjack, 3 Card Poker and Roulette. Live Table Games are only available during certain hours so verify that the games are available during your visit. The casino is also home to the longest running bingo hall in the state. Bingo session run Tuesday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Hotel/Accommodations

There is a hotel onsite; however there are unique accommodations. There are four cabins available for rent featuring satellite, full bath and a queen sized bed. The cabins are not located directly on the property but the rate is cheap and the location is conveniently located close to the casino. Check-in is 2pm with an 11am check-out.

Dining

Locals visit the casino buffet for some country cooking. They are open for breakfast which is served from 8am to 10:45am. Lunch and dinner are a treat with the popular pork tenderloin and the blackjack burger. Mahuska Restaurant & Buffet offers a wide range of specialties from basic burgers and hotdogs to club sandwiches and cheese balls. It’s all available at very reasonable prices and did we mention the kids menu?

Entertainment/Nightlife

Okay so there is not much else to do at Casino White Cloud other than gamble. The city of White Cloud is very small so we recommend that you have transportation to get out and see some attractions in the area. Some sites to visit include Atchison State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area, Brown County State Park and Crazy Eye Brewing. The city was named after an Indian Chief called White Cloud. With the Native American presence, there is quite a bit of history to take in.
