Sundance Casino

The Sundance Casino is mainly a bar and slot parlor that sits right across the street from the Winnemucca Convention and Visitors Center. The main part of the building is white and the remainder has a façade of blue panels running down the front of it, and honestly, the best way I can describe it from the front is it is the one that looks kind of like a Laundromat. The only exception, again from the front, is the not terribly prominent, "Casino," marquee as well as the fact that the top right of the building says, "Slots," in plain lettering. The side of the building stands out a little more, however, if you enter from the parking lot rather than the street, the side of the building consists of a painted mural depicting an old western scene, and that may be as aesthetically interesting as this little parlor is going to get. The signage is also more prominent on this side along with a marquee that occasionally advertises what promotion they have going on at the time, when applicable. Anyway, this is a relaxing little place to enjoy some machines and get to know some of the Winnemucca locals. It's also conveniently located to any number of small Winnemucca shops and restaurants, so it's not the worst stop at which to kill a little time.

Gaming

Machines, 124 of them, to be precise, are the only form of gambling available at this casino. Fortunately, the variety is quite good given the limited number of machines as they have over forty multi-denomination video poker and video keno machines, over forty penny slots and the rest of the machines consist of various denominations and popular slot games. While it may not seem like much, considering they have over 7,000 square feet of space to work with, we tend to think that slot enthusiasts will be impressed with the selection, although, the video poker enthusiast might be less than enthralled with the available paytables...although, the game selection is admittedly pretty good.

Hotel/Accommodations

Unfortunately, the Sundance does not have a hotel of any kind on its premises. Fortunately, the nearest casino/hotel is only a few hundred feet away at the Winners Inn & Casino.

Dining

This casino does not offer a restaurant, per se, just a limited snack menu with some standard bar snack fare available. The casino is convenient to a number of decent Winnemucca restaurants of varying styles, however, to name a few: Las Margaritas, YOLO Donuts, The Mustard Seed and Third Street Bistro, among many others.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Unfortunately, other than the machines and a few TV's there's really not much to the place. While Winnemucca is, admittedly, a few ZIP codes away from Party Central, there are a great number of cool little independent shops and stores in the area, so it's a really good place to walk around and check some places out.

Rewards/Deals

This casino has a Players Club that is simply called, "The Players Club," players can earn points convertible into free play and qualify for promotions. Past promotions have mostly catered towards locals, such as TV giveaways and things of that nature.
