You’d think a company named Jackpot Software would be all about progressive jackpots, but that isn’t the case here. They have plenty of other games to offer too, even if the central theme in many of their online slots are the jackpots. Surprisingly, a big part of the catalogue is formed by all sorts of special games. Something that is definitely worth a look and a try.
The company was established sometime in 2020, and its headquarters are situated in the USA. Right off the bat, the company has concentrated on more than just producing games, as they also operate a turnkey business. This means that we might hear a lot more about them in the future, as they are well situated to operate in the US markets. But what is there for players from elsewhere, and where can you get a good look at the available games? Joins us as we take a good look at Jackpot Software in this review.
Intellectual property and smart design
There are a lot of buzzwords flying around when browsing the Jackpot Software homepage, and it’s pretty clear that they are all about high-tech and newest developments to ensure the best possible gaming experience. But what do things like intellectual property and smart design really mean?
...well, you might have noticed that lately the number of available slots has become quite massive. There are casinos with thousands of slot titles, far more than any individual player has time to ever experience. Intellectual property, which is something other gaming companies are starting to pay attention to as well, is an attempt to create characters, stories and brands that stand out from this mass.
Smart design simply goes beyond using HTML5 to ensure mobile compatibility. It means improving the way the game scales to different devices, where the buttons are placed, how players like to play the games and much more than that. Of course, it also means that the company’s own systems will easily integrate to any existing online casino, or allow other software providers to do the same. Much of this is beyond the scope of what the player ends up seeing, but still something that influences it greatly.
From Casino War to Virtual Sports
It’s not just slots that the company has to offer. The special games can be divided into two categories: table games and virtual sports. But it’s not roulette, blackjack or craps that we are talking about this time around. The company has gone far deeper, basically inventing a whole new gaming scene of their own. Or what would you think about titles like Casino Minesweeper, Casino War, Russian Duel, or Bonus Poker? If you’re looking for something new and interesting, take a look at these games.
The virtual sports cover a bit more familiar ground. These are in fact virtual betting games, which take their theme and inspiration from popular sports, and add in predictable but random mathematics to spice up things a bit. If you want to place bets but don’t want to actually do the groundwork of following sports, then these games are an excellent choice for a bit of entertainment.
Big in Japan Latin America
One thing that stands out about this company is the fact that they are seemingly omnipresent in Latin American markets. For the uninitiated, this might not mean much, but for us, this tells of some great design choices, especially when it comes to mobile gaming. It also means the company is set up in an area that most other gaming companies are still trying to enter.
Besides building the games, the company has designed and built their own turnkey platform. What this means, is that their software suite can be used by anyone (as long as they foot the bill) to launch an online casino. As the company is seeking licenses all around the world, this means that transatlantic casinos might finally become a possibility.
That’s a massive selling point, as at this point the setting has been regionally limited in most cases. Europeans playing in European casinos, Asians in Asian casinos, Americans in Curacao casinos, and so forth. Bridging that gap would bring us back to the days of online poker that started the whole iGaming boom (before the US government shut it down).
But what does the Jackpot Software platform have to offer? From what we can tell, it’s a combination of remote gaming services (and servers), licensing, user management and plenty of slots and other games. On the latter, it seems like Jackpot Software hasn’t yet managed to partner up with many of the bigger companies, meaning that any turnkey casino would rely solely on their products. That’s something that is a bit of a drawback. On the other hand, the company is new, and as they establish themselves they are likely to partner up with the big and small players alike.
Now, we can’t say that all of this will come true or that it will happen for sure. But it might be a whiff of something to come, a telling tale so to speak.
At the moment the company is only certified by Gaming Labs International. However, they aim to seek out licenses from all the important jurisdictions, especially the European ones (they are already applying for a Maltese gaming license). Beyond this, they also aim to have their games certified by independent testing labs.
Though all of this is a work in progress at the moment, the company is definitely heading in the right direction.
