Konami Gaming is a subsidiary of Konami Corporation that was founded in Japan during the 1970’s. The headquarters are located in Las Vegas with another division of the company, Konami Australia Pty Ltd, located in Australia. Together, the two companies provide games to various regions around the globe. Many players may recognize the Slot Games from land based casinos but it was just a matter of time before these popular titles made their online debut. Konami games are delivered to the online market via GameAccount Network’s content delivery system.
Konami Gaming partnered with GameAccount Network (GAN) to convert its games and make them available to online players. Many of the games became available in early 2014. Popular titles were transformed into a format designed for the iGaming market such as African Diamond, Treasure Voyage, Ancient Dragon, China Shores, Solstice Celebration and Full Moon Diamond.
Konami online Slots are provided with GAN when its platform is integrated with existing iGaming platforms. In terms of mobile gaming, GAN creates not apps, but HTML5 games and optimized websites.
Gaming Features
Land based Konami games are available in several cabinets including Advantage 3, Advantage 5, Advantage Revolution, Dynamic 5, Podium, Podium Goliath, Podium Monument, Podium Slant and SeleXion. Monitoring and reporting systems, campaign management and further analytics are available to the company’s partners.
Slots, operations, other information is synced with Konami’s Synk Box. It’s used in connection with the SYNKROS gaming enterprise management system.
The company describes the management system, “SYNKROS, inspired by some of the best practices found in other industries’ enterprise management solutions, was built largely from the ground up in a way that questioned gaming industry norms and focused on operators’ needs. In an industry where failure rates continue to be too high and adoption of cutting edge database technology too low, SYNKROS was designed so that casino operators would not have to utter the dreaded words, “I’m sorry, but our system is down,” to customers in increasingly competitive markets. The SYNKROS infrastructure, one more typically seen in the financial sector, utilizes the strength of an Oracle database, TCP/IP-based networks and Java development tools. As a result, KONAMI’s system has been celebrated for its unparalleled reliability.”
Licensing
GAN is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission for the development of gaming software. For the operation and supply of games, GAN is licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, which is applicable to the distribution on Konami content.
